This album is an emotional rollercoaster. It leads with a bass heavy, fast-paced ostinato with a striking, dissonant theme. But the album is full of sweet melodies and slower paced moments where you can catch up on the wave of music that just overwhelmed you. Get lost in the effortless vocals in the reimagined cover of Wonderwall, or the instrumental solos that demonstrates the musicians' creative talents.
Favorite track: The Captain.
LiveWyre is an original blend of cinematic, groove, neo-soul, jazz, ambient and fusion sounds. Much of the music draws influence of musicians who blend genres in their own writing style; the compositional sounds of jazz masters like Esperanza Spalding, Hiromi Uehara, Robert Glasper (etc) are alluded to throughout the music of the LiveWyre project.
